SOOC SUNDAY

A photography blog, Murrieta365 hosts a "straight out of the camera" photo link and I thought getting my pics up on these links would keep me practicing with my camera, get the thing out of it's case!!!

This is my sweet Tia looking like a crazed wolf while waiting for her breakfast.  I snapped this this morning while she sat with some sun light hittin' on her.

What I'm loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday.  Time for WILW with Jamie.  I am loving all things Valentines today!!!

I AM LOVING these DIY valentines.

Such cute pencil toppers.   Those would be easy to print out and then stick on cardstock.    I love those manila tags that were stamped and embellished and then used as candy bar tags.   So creative!!!!

Paint sample cards stamped with ink.   Do you think Lowes would mind me snagging a bunch of the red and pink to make these cute cards??   I have hundreds of those in all the other colors but I've never been too keen on red walls!!

I am lovingthese adorable baby bloomers!   Cute for gifts and photographs.   I would love to have these but I doubt I could get my 9 year old to put them on.  I'd probably be commited!!!

These super cute bloomers can be found HERE. There are tons of others too!

I am loving these valentine cookies that have cute text-type messages on them.

These are sugar cookies topped with royal icing, whatever that is!   They are stamped with text-messaging lingo using a letter stamp and a paper towel dampened with food coloring.   Too cute!!    These are from an older copy of Martha Stewart Living.

I am loving how excited my kids get when I decorate the house with all these goofy holiday decorations!

These are a few years old. I really loved that blow up heart.  Darian thought it would be fun to jump on it and it exploded!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

SOOC Sunday

SOOC Sunday.

Kya put one of my robes  on and was sitting near the french doors leading outside.   I snapped her quickly with the camera on "auto".    I thought this pic came out with a bit of an "ethereal" quality.

Thanks a bunch for this link!!!   You can play along here

What I'm loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!   Head on over to Jamie's and play along.   She always has all these great fashions posted on WILW.

I am loving these multicultural prints found Here.

I am loving this crazy OOMPA-LOOMPA look my kid is sporting.  A face only a mother can love!!!!

I am loving that Kya wanted to spend her day off of school yesterday to help out the IU students and be a "Child Scientist".  She has been participating in these studies at the IU Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences since she was an infant.   My kids LOVE going to the dentist and doctor(Yes, they are strange) so they are perfect guinea pigs subjects for these things.    She spent most of the morning doing MRI tests as she did different activities in the machines.

See her feet sticking out.   That would freak me out being all the way in that tube.  She is so fearless!!!!

The kids love hanging out on campus.    They feel so grown up.

I am loving this cute outfit from Anthropologie.   And if I were a REALLY tall model, I'd get this!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

5 question Friday

{1} What movie could you watch over and over and not get tired of it?
It would definitely be "Somethings Gotta Give" with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson.  I watch this movie every time it's on TV.   The story line is funny, love the beach house and beach scenes.  Jack Nicholson is always hysterical.   I have tons of DVD's and watch them all the time.  You would think I'd get this one, huh???

{2} What is your biggest pet peeve right now?
When people come into my house with muddy/snowy big ol' shoes and shlep on through, dragging their foot debri with them.

{3} If you could describe your best friend in 5 words or less, what would you say?
I haven't had a BFF in SO many years.  That is so sad.    Laurie was my best friend from age 10 until college age but is now 2000 miles away.   It's been a long time since we hung out!!!   I would describe a friend as   Fun, loyal, non-judgemental and caring.

{4} If you did not have to worry about money or go to school, what would you do for a living?
I would be a dog walker, hanging out with the pups, taking them all over town.   Or a photographer.

{5} What is the one splurge item you always buy no matter what the cost?
Ok, another dog answer!!    It's the "Blue" dog food that costs a fortune.   It's natural and organic.

This is my first time playing with "Crooked Halo".   Thanks for this linky!

WHAT I'M LOVING WEDNESDAY

                        Happy Wednesday!!!

I haven't been around lately.  I feel like I have been neglecting my blog.   Not much going on around here and those nasty migraines have been hittin' me.   Hate those things!!!

I am loving this cute neclace made from your childs art.  Very cute!!   This was made by Metalmorphis.

I am loving SNOW DAYS!!! Big, beautiful snowflakes, fluffy snow everywhere and not having to drive in it.   Having my kids at home to hang out with me and play games.

I am loving all the great games the kids got for Christmas.   We rarely ever sit down and just play a game together.    It has been so much fun getting to know my kids better, finding out how competetive they are.

I am loving that my guilty pleasure, "The Bachelor" is back.   But......they brought back Brad Womack who couldn't make a decision last time he was on.   In his defense,  I guess  if you don't meet someone you like, you should just move on.   He seems sincere in his hope to find a wife(or girlfriend)  but is this show the way to go?   We'll see!!!

Yes, he is very pretty!!!!

Go on and Play What i'm loving Wednesday with Jamie.

MISCELLANY MONDAY

                                    {1}  MOVIE AWARD SEASON
I was trying to remember when the last time I went to a movie was.   Titanic?  Whooaa...long time ago.   My son reminded me that I had taken him to see "Marley and Me".  When was that out?  2 years ago.   I REALLY don't like to sit in movie theaters!

I can remember years ago, my sisters, friends and myself heading off to every movie, every screening  that was out there.   By the time the Oscars, Golden Globes, etc. came on, we knew every movie and actor that was up for an award.   Sometimes we even went to the award shows.    These days the closest I get to the action is seeing the red carpet gowns on the cover of magazines in the line at Walmart!

This past week, while the kids were home and theaters were showing movies during daytime hours, I decided to see one.   I had read about "The Black Swan" in our paper and it sounded interesting.

Even the movie posters are freaking me out!!!

Oh, the dark and psychotic world of the ballerina!!!    Remind me to cancel those ballet lessons for Kya!!!!    Natalie Portman is quite good playing desperate and neurotic.   I was impressed with her dancing, especially if she had had no formal training.

My kids and husband were in the theater next door watching "Gullivers Travels" and I was glad to hear about that "feel good" film when we left the theater.

                                {2} BACK TO SCHOOL
It has felt like the kids have been home for 6 months now and was very strange having to get them off to school this morning.   I didn't even know where to start!   "What time does the bus come?"  "Where do you guys go to school again?"   I know, have some coffee, get with the progam!!      The kids had been fighting so much these last few days and have been getting so bored that they were about to be sold to gypsies.    After I got back into the groove of things this morning,  I was so glad to see this again.

My kids waiting for the bus!!!!!
